Apparently this was not the year to get some balancing language in statute regarding the School Employee Statewide Healthcare Commission. Instead, the legislature seemed pretty intent on appeasing the Vermont NEA and further tilting the scales in their favor when it comes to healthcare bargaining.
Later this spring and summer we'll give you all the details of our failed attempt to help school districts and Vermont taxpayers but for now we'll let you know that H.81 (a bill authored by the VT NEA) has been passed by both the House and Senate and will now head to the Governor for his signature.
